An Interview with Marion Unger

In 2004 Marion Unger followed the call for new tour guides in Oberursel and has been giving tours in and around the town ever since. In 2009 she took over the chair of the local history society, and in 2018 her book “Oberursel zu Fuß: Die schönsten Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß entdecken” was published, which takes readers on a tour of the town and suggests places to visit and things to see when doing so. In 2020 she was awarded the citizens’ medal.

An Interview with Maren Blaschke

What happens when a partner suffers from an incurable disease, that take over not only their own lives, but those closest to them? When their wife becomes their nurse, looking after them and covering up for them at the same time? When the situation is not talked about openly?

Things to know about the carnival procession in Oberursel

It’s carnival time! The big procession in Oberursel starts at 2.11pm on Sunday afternoon. But with it having been cancelled for two years due to Covid and one year due to high winds, many people new to the area do not know what to expect and have been asking questions.
