During the Hessentag in Oberursel last Sunday, a collection of electric cars arrived from Stadtallendorf.
Stadtallendorf had held the event last year, and the owners of the cars were keeping up a tradition of travelling from one Hessentagstadt to another. Whether they travel by solar power, battery or are pedal-assisted, the group want to prove that a world without petrol-driven cars is possible, and it was the 7th time that they had taken part.
Travelling with them was Klaus Scheithauer, of Solarmobil-Rhein-Main e.V., who was carry a message from the mayor of Stadtallendorf, Manfred Vollmer, to the mayor of Oberursel, Hans-Georg Brum.
The group were welcomed on their arrived by Christof Fink from Oberursel’s Green Party and Axel Wintermeyer from the Hessian State Chancellery.
