Dealing with Corona in Oberursel

With many events cancelled due to Corona, three people in Oberursel have come up with an idea to make the most of the summer as safely as possible.

Thomas Fiehler, Danny Franklin and Thomas Studanski have arranged for a beer garden – with wine and food – to open on the Rathausplatz in front of the town hall, Thursdays to Saturdays from 4pm to 10pm.

There is no music, just someone to go and sit, drink and eat, with the Jürgen Ponto Fountain providing a water slide for children to play on. The number of people allowed in depends on whether they are couple, families or groups, to allow for social distancing at the tables.

The beer garden was officially opened this evening, 23rd July 2020, by the new fountain queen Verena I.

Although once inside the building, the princes and princesses are likely to found out that the town’s treasure chest is empty.

One in Düsseldorf shows Theresa May with a Pinnocio-style Brexit nose stabbing through the heart of the British economy.

Meanwhile in Oberursel, one float was more critical of the fact that the Brexit process is dragging on, whilst the EU has other problems to sort out:
