The annual Herbsttreiben weekend in Oberursel is being held between the 14th and 16th of September, 2012.
On these days, a handicraft market will take place on the Epinayplatz and in the Kumeliusstraße, cider will be sold on the Marktplatz at the “Ebbelwoi-Vertestigung” and at the “Apfelweingarten” in the Vorstadt, whilst stalls selling French wares will be on the Rathausplatz.
Also on the Marktplatz there will be a market of specialities from Thuringia, and music and entertainment can be expected at both the Marktplatz and the Rathausplatz.
Sunday, 16th September is “verkaufsoffen” and many of the shops in the town centre will be open during the afternoon.
During the entire weekend a miniature railway for children will be running in the Ackergasse and Untere Hainstraße. On Saturday morning the monthly flea market will also be held as usual in the Adenauerallee and Nassauer Straße.
Weekly market moved
As the Marktplatz is not available, the weekly market will be held on the car park next to the Rathausplatz and in the Hospitalstraße on Saturday, 15th September.

We were there yesterday evening and it was quite interesting.
We did like the “Vertestigung” ad and the Trinken für einen guten Zweck. Only in Germany…:-)
