Lost property (August and September 2012)

Oberursel Rathaus

The lost property office (Fundbüro) in Oberursel’s town hall has released a list of items that have been handed in during August and September.

You can browse the list (in German) by clicking here.

Amongst the latest finds are four ID cards, seven bicycles, three pairs of glasses, a walking stick, four purses, three mobile phones, a SIM card, keyrings, an arm band, an earring, a baby’s rattle, three watches and various items of clothing.

They can be collected at the Rathaus in room 101A within 6 months of them being handed in. For more information call 06171 502-371 or -262.

Meanwhile some older items are currently being auctioned off on the website www.sonderauktionen.net.

Moselstraße closed

Bazaar for children’s clothes and toys

Bear - ©Can Stock Photo Inc. / karantaA bazaar for children’s clothes and toys is being held on Sunday, 4th November, 2012 between 10am and 12pm at the “Liebfrauen” Kindergarten.

The Kindergarten is located near the church in the Berlinerstraße and the nearest U-Bahn stop is “Stadtmitte”.

Discuss the town budget at the town hall

A “Bürgerversammlung” is being held in the town hall (Rathaus) on Wednesday, 31st October, 2012 at 8pm to discuss the new town budget.

Residents will have the chance to find out what is planned in the 2013 budget and ask any questions that they have about it.

Cinema Italiano at Café Portstrasse

As the café is not a commercial cinema, they are not allowed to advertise which film will be shown in advance. If you do want to know which film will be shown then call 06171 636930 and they will tell you.

Café Portstrasse is located opposite the U-Bahn station “Altstadt” (formerly “Portstraße”).

Discuss the future of Oberursel in the town hall

A workshop to discuss the future of Oberursel is taking place in the town hall (Rathaus) on Tuesday, 30th October at 6pm.

The workshop is part of the town’s development process (STEP) and all residents are invited.

Children’s cinema in the Portstrasse

The bluebox is located opposite the U-Bahn station “Altstadt” (formerly “Portstraße”).

 

Energy saving advice

Oberursel RathausThe Verbraucherzentrale (consumers’ association) will be offering individual energy saving consultations in the Rathaus in Oberursel on Thursday, 1st November, 2012 between 2pm and 6pm.

Appointments cost €5 for 30 minutes, and €2.50 for each 15 minutes after that. They need to be arranged in advance by calling 06171 502-310.

 

Book flea market at the library

The library is located at one end of the market square in Oberursel, in the Eppsteinerstraße.

The nearest car parks are “Bleiche” and in the Holzweg. The nearest train station is Altstadt (U3).
