Since “AllThingsGerman Oberursel” was launched at the beginning of July, there have been around 350 articles published on the website. Some announce forthcoming events, others report on traffic accidents and road closures, and some go into depth on the current political topics in the town. They have been accompanied by over 300 photos.
Here are some of the highlights and most read articles of the past six months:
- A first look at the Ausländerbeirat
- Open-air Theatre 2012: Jedermann
- The last sunset over Oberursel’s swimming pool… for now
- Taunus Disco – Dancing in the station for the over 40s
- Oberursel Christmas Market
- Making sense of the town’s budget
- Portstrasse: Your Town – Your Space – Your Music
- 50 Years of Local History
- Schüssel Live – The Schnuudedunker
- 25 Years of making Local History Accessible
These articles on the main “AllThingsGerman.net” site may also be of interest, if you have not read them before:
- Saving the Ehrenmal and remembering Oberursel’s War Dead
- What is a Bebauungsplan?
- A visit to the Hessentag in Wetzlar
- Oberursel’s Station Grand Re-opening: The Bahnhofsfest
- The new face of Oberursel’s administration
- Why Oberursel’s Hessentag deficit is larger than expected
And you may also like to re-live some moments of the year by looking at the photos of the carnival procession, the Brunnenfest, the Facebook gallery of the Weinfest and even the photos taken on a tour of Oberursel at full moon.
But however much there is here to read and see, some articles, for whatever reason, just did not make it onto the website during the past half year. So today, on the last day of the year, a small selection of those will be published.
So stay tuned to the RSS feed or Facebook page today, or sign up to the mailing list, for the last photos and pieces of news from Oberursel in 2012.
Einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr 2013!
I find the email postings and the Website really informative and they enable me to keep up to date with political and community life in our twin town Oberursel.
Thank you very much.
Happy New Year to you and all your subscribers.
