Tuesday night is film night at Bluebox Portstraße, located near the U-Bahn stop “Altstadt”.
As the organisation is not a commercial cinema, they are not allowed to advertise which film will be shown in advance. For Tuesday, 20th March, 2018, we are told that it will be a theatrical film. If you do want to know which film will be shown then call 06171 636930 and they will tell you.
The showing starts at 9pm.

Large book flea market at the library

There will be a large book flea market in Oberursel’s library between Wednesday, 14th and Saturday, 17th March, 2018 with proceeds going to the library’s supporters’ association.
This market takes place on the 1st floor and has a larger selection of books than the monthly one, so there are usually foreign-language books there as well.
The opening times are:
Wednesday 10-1 & 3-6
Thursday 10-1 & 3-7
Friday 10-1 & 3-6
Saturday 10-1
The library is located at one end of the market square in Oberursel, in the Eppsteinerstraße.
The nearest car parks are “Bleiche” and in the Holzweg. The nearest train station is Altstadt (U3).
Flea Market in the Adenauerallee

The monthly flea market in the Adenauerallee in Oberursel will take place on Saturday, 16th March 2018 between 7am and 1pm.
The flea market starts at the end of the pedestrian zone and continues the length of the Adenauerallee and over the railway lines towards Bommersheim. One part also takes place in the Nassauer Straße next to the U-Bahn tracks.
To get there by train take either the line U3 or S5 to Oberursel’s main station.
Friday Night Jazz at the Portstrasse

The musikhalle portstrasse is holding a “Friday night Jam Session” on Friday, 16th March, 2018, at 8pm.
Entry is free.
The “musikhalle” is located opposite the U-Bahn station “Altstadt” on the U3 line.

The Verbraucherzentrale (consumers’ association) will be offering individual energy saving consultations in the Rathaus in Oberursel on Thursday, 15th March, 2018.
Appointments cost €5 for 30 minutes, and €2.50 for each 15 minutes after that. They need to be arranged in advance by calling 06171 502-310.
Bingo at the Seniorentreff

The Seniorentreff in Oberursel will be offering an afternoon of Bingo on Thursday, 15th March 2018 between 2.30pm and 4.30pm in the “Altes Hospital” (Hospitalstraße 9).
