Car broken into, wallets stolen

A Skoda parked in the Herzbergstraße was broken into on Thursday, 3rd August, 2017, some time between 5.15pm and 5.30pm.

The passenger side front window was smashed to gain access to the vehicle, and the thieves took two wallets from inside.

Both wallets were found nearby, but without the cash in the them.  The damage is estimated at several hundred Euros.

Bicycle stolen

Two bicycles worth around €1,800 have been stolen from a garage at the northern end of Oberursel.

The bicycles were taken in the Friedländerstraße some time between 9.30am on Wednesday, 2nd August, 2017 and 7.25am the following day.

One was a children’s bicycle, the other was a “Cube” mountain bike.

Police would like witnesses to call them on 06171 62400.

Police arrest man at bicycle stand

Police in Oberursel have arrested a man for allegedly trying to steal a bicycle.

They were called by a passer by on Thursday, 3rd August, 2017 at 9.45pm, who had seen a man doing something to a number of bikes at the station.  The police were able to find the 41-year-old man from Oberursel whilst he was still there and took him away for questioning.  He has since been released.

Yet another bicycle stolen in Oberstedten

Yet another bicycle was stolen in Oberstedten, this time between 8pm on Tuesday, 1st August and 9.10am on Wednesday, 2nd August, 2017.

The “Cube” mountain bike was locked up on private property in the Lärchenweg.

More cars broken into

Following the reports of taxis that had been broken into, another two cars had their side windows smashed between 2am and 6.30am on Wednesday, 2nd August, 2017.

In a car in the Eisenhammerweg the console in the middle of the vehicle was broken into but nothing was taken.  However the damage is valued at €500.

In the second car in the Dornbachstraße the thieves stole cash and an ec-card from the car, causing €1,000 of damage.

Another bicycle stolen in Oberstedten

A black “Merida” mountain bike was stolen sometime between 9.30am and 4pm from the Häuserstraße in Oberstedten on Monday, 31st July, 2017.

The bicycle, work several hundred Euros, was locked up on private property.

Again, police would like witnesses to call them on 06171 62400.

 

Cars broken into

Thieves broke into several cars in Oberursel in the early hours of Wednesday, 2nd August, 2017.

Between 2.50am and 6am they smashed the window of a taxi parked in the Freiherr-von-Stein-Straße and stole several hundred Euros that had been left inside.

They tried again in the Willy-Seck-Straße, but for some reason gave up.

The day before a Daimler Benz parked in the Memeler Straße in Weißkirchen also had a window smashed between 5pm and 7pm, although nothing was taken.

Witnesses are asked to call detectives from the “AG PKW” on 06171 62400.

Vandals arrested

Police in Oberursel have managed to arrest two people who were seen damaging a bicycle at the station at 2.30am on Monday, 31st July, 2017.

A witness saw the men kicking a bicycle in one of the stands and alerted the police.  Both men are 19 years old and live in the town, police were able to catch up with them at the “Platz des 17. Juni”.

Several hundred Euros of damage was caused to the bicycle.

Bicycles stolen in Oberstedten

A pair of thieves have stolen three mountain bikes from Oberstedten.  The bikes, made by “Cube” and in a blue and white design, were in the “Alter Weg” and the pair were seen entering the grounds of the property between 1.30am and 2am on Saturday, 22nd July, 2017.

One of the thieves had a light top on with a hood and was carrying a should bag.  The other wore a dark jacket with light-coloured trousers.

Police would like other witnesses to call them on 06171 62400.

Police asking for witnesses

Police are asking for witnesses to an attempted theft, a broken into car, and an accident.  All of which took place the weekend before last.

Thieves attempted to steal an Aprilia scooter (“Roller”) from the entrance to a courtyard sometime between 3pm on Sunday, 23rd July and 7pm on Monday, 24th July, 2017.  The scooter was locked up and they were unsuccessful, but caused several hundred Euros of damage in the process.

An Audi A3 was broken into on a car park in the Hohemarkstraße between 7pm on Sunday and 12 noon on Monday.  The passenger side window was smashed and a purse stolen from within the car which contained ID and bank cards.

And in “An der Heide” the front of a VW Passat estate (“Kombi”) was damaged between 6pm on Sunday and 11.15am on Monday.  The damage is estimated at €1,000.  The driver of the car that caused the damage drove off without leaving their details.
