The latest news in English from Oberursel in the Taunus area of Germany.
The Lärchenweg will be closed from Monday, 11th June, until Friday, 22nd June, 2018, between houses 9 and 12 to allow work to take place on underground pipes.

The Schlenkergasse in the centre of Oberursel will be closed from Monday, 29th January, 2018 until the end of June to allow for building work to take place.
The closure will be in front of house number 8, with the two halves of the road either side effectively being no-through-roads for the duration of the work.

Pedestrians and cyclists will still be able to use the road and cars will be able to approach from either side, but will not be able to pass by house number 8.
The Lärchenweg will be closed on Monday, 28th August, 2017 from 8.30am until 12 noon to allow concrete walls to be delivered.

The “Meiersberg” road will be closed from Monday, 28th August, until Friday, 1st September, 2017, to allow for a crane to be erected.

The motorway exit “Oberursel” on the A661 will be closed on Monday, 24th July, 2017 from 10pm until 5am on Tuesday morning for traffic travelling towards Frankfurt (eg. coming from the Feldberg and turning off towards Oberursel, or travelling out of Oberursel and joining the motorway towards Frankfurt).
The exit is due to be improved sometime in the future, but before this can happen the ground must be probed for any unexploded ordnance left over from the Second World War.
Traffic will be diverted to the “Oberursel-Nord” exist.
The town hall (“Rathaus”) in Oberursel will be closed on Friday, 27th December and Monday, 30th December, 2013.
It will be open again on Thursday, 2nd January, 2014.
The road “Freiheit” will be closed on Thursday, 5th December, 2013 between 7am and 6pm to allow for a crane to be erected.

The car park “Altstadt” will be closed from 14th October until 26th October to allow for urgent repairs to take place which require both the entrance and exit to be closed off.
Those who have long-term rental contracts will receive alternative spaces in the City or Stadthalle car parks. These are also the alternatives available for anyone visiting the town during that period.
