A collision at the crossing Feldbergstraße / Liebfrauenstraße caused €9,000 of damage late last Thursday (15th August, 2013).
A 19-year-old from Oberursel was driving a grey Skoda Fabia along the Liebfrauenstraße towards the Feldbergstraße. At the crossing of the two roads the traffic lights were running in “nighttime” mode, ie. they were flashing amber.
The driver entered the crossing without making sure that the Feldbergstraße , where traffic has priority, was clear to enter.
In doing so she hit a grey Toyota Corolla being driven by a 47-year-old from Wehrheim.
Police suspected that the 19-year-old had been drinking alcohol and took a blood sample.
The Nassauer Straße was closed on one side yesterday afternoon between the Berliner Straße and the Feldbergstraße to allow work on the pavement at the Grammar School (Gymnasium) to take place. It will remain partially closed until Saturday, 28th July, 2012.
