Road closures in Oberursel on 1st May

Police clear the road for the cycle raceWith both the Altstadt-Duathlon – which is also the German national short distance duathlon championships – and also the annual cycle race “Rund um den Finanzplatz Eschborn-Frankfurt” taking place tomorrow (1st May), a number of roads in the town will be closed.

The following roads will be closed to traffic from 7am to 7.30pm for the duathlon:

  • Königsteiner Straße between the B455 and Altkönigstraße
  • Am Rahmtor
  • Marktplatz
  • Wiederholtstraße
  • Eppsteiner Straße
  • Obere Hainstraße
  • Bleiche
  • An der Herrenmühle
  • Hegarstraße
  • Im Portugall
  • Marxstraße
  • Steinmühlenweg
  • Altkönigstraße between Steinmühlenweg and Königsteiner Straße
  • Obergasse
  • An der Burg
  • Obere Schulstraße
  • Marienstraße
  • St. Ursula Gasse
  • Hollerberg

The following roads will not actually be closed, but will be inaccessible, at least from one end:

  • Füllerstraße
  • Strackgasse
  • Weidengasse
  • Ackergasse
  • Untere Hainstraße
  • Neutorallee
  • Portstraße
  • Zelterstraße
  • Phillip-Reis-Straße
  • Schillerstraße
  • Brüder-Winter-Straße
  • Herzog-Adolf-Straße

For the cycle race to pass through, the following roads will be closed between 9.30am and 2pm:

  • Kanonenstraße
  • Hohemarkstraße
  • Borkenberg
  • Altkönigstraße
  • Feldbergstraße
  • Liebfrauenstraße
  • Oberhöchstadter Straße
  • Weingärtenumgehung
  • Gablonzer Straße
  • Ludwig-Erhard-Straße
  • Frankfurter Landstraße

and additionally between 9.30am and 1pm:

  • Kurmainzer Straße
  • Weißkirchener Straße
  • Zimmersmühlenweg

Anyone who needs to leave Oberursel during those times is advised to park their car outside of the area in advance.
