The local model boat club “Schiffs-Modell-Gemeinschaft Oberursel e.V.” will be demonstrating their boats on the Maasgrundweiher over the Whitsun weekend (7th-9th June, 2014).
Changes to refuse collections after Whitsun

Due to Whit Monday being a bank holiday, the black and green bins in Oberursel will be emptied a day later next week, ie. on Tuesday instead of Monday and Saturday instead of Friday.
The yellow sacks and bins will be emptied as follows:
Area D: Tuesday, 21st May
Area C: Wednesday, 22nd May
Area B: Thursday, 23rd May
Area A: Friday, 24th May
The paper collections (blue) will be emptied as follows:
Area 9: Tuesday, 21st May
Area 10: Wednesday, 22nd May
Area 11: Thursday, 23rd May
Area 12: Friday, 24th May

Football Tournament at Whitsun

The sport club “Eintracht 1957 Oberursel” is holding their annual international Whitsun Tournament for the 44th time this year which also coincides with the Hessentag in Oberursel.
Taking part are teams from Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt, Mainz 05, 1. FC Köln, FSV Frankfurt and many others including teams from Austria and Luxembourg.
The first match kicks off on Saturday, 11th June at 9am between 1. FC Köln and Eintracht Frankfurt.
To get there, take the U-Bahn (U3) to Kupferhammer, cross over the road and into the Eichwäldchenweg. The grounds are on the right-hand side after a short distance.
